In summary, our investigation into plasma-treated raw cotton fabric has unveiled significant enhancements across several key properties. Notably, we observed improvements in texture, odour, and softness post-treatment, alongside commendable advancements in wash and rub fastness compared to untreated fabric.
While the treated fabric demonstrated a modest increase in UV protection, it remains below the threshold for UV-protected classification. However, it has revealed a potential avenue for achieving UV protection by combining a plasma treatment with printing.
These findings underscore the promising potential of plasma treatment in elevating cotton fabric quality within textile manufacturing. Nonetheless, further research and optimization are warranted, particularly in the realm of UV protection, to fully capitalize on this innovative treatment method.
